Nature and Aim of the Position

The holder of this position is responsible for managing integration projects with external partners, overseeing the execution phase to the rollout of developed and certified solutions for Tax Free Shopping functionalities within the EU area.

This role requires strong communication skills and a service-oriented approach, as direct client-facing interaction is a significant aspect of the position.

The position reports directly to the IT Director Italy and is based in Gallarate, Italy.

Position may require occasional travelling.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Deliver Issuing Solutions implementation projects within scope, timeline, budget, and in compliance with Global Blue Professional Services processes.
  2. Interface with internal and external project managers and stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of TFS services.
  3. Support the definition, implementation, and governance of an efficient Partner Integration project process.
  4. Support the Commercial Organization and the Partner Manager with technical and process consultancy.
  5. Ensure that implemented Issuing Solutions are anchored correctly in the GB organization.
  6. Maintain the Country Requirements updated.
  7. Provide technical pre-sales support.
  8. Offer 2nd level support to local FS teams.
  9. Conduct regular review meetings with the Partner Manager.

Background and Education

  1. Experience in managing technical projects with external stakeholders is required.
  2. An IT educational background is necessary.
  3. Experience in working with virtual and distributed teams is preferred.
  4. Customer consulting services experience is beneficial.
  5. An independent and self-motivating personality is essential.
  6. Italian native language is required.
  7. English language proficiency is necessary.
  8. Working knowledge within the retail industry is preferred.

Specific Skills and Knowledge

  1. Solid understanding of Point-of-sale related technology and transactional systems is required.
  2. Ability to communicate with external partners in an efficient and structured way is necessary.
  3. Accuracy, ability to analyze situations fast, and to identify the correct measures are essential.
  4. Customer-oriented approach is required.
  5. Willingness to enter technical details is necessary.
  6. Structured and flexible approach in managing difficult and challenging situations is essential.
  7. Commitment and dedication to work are required.
  8. Perseverance in reaching goals is necessary.
  9. Good knowledge of project management processes and tools is beneficial.
  10. Excellent communication and team skills, ability to present ideas clearly and concisely are essential.
  11. Excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are required.
