Your Role:

We are in search of a proficient individual to fill the position of Cloud Engineer and Kubernetes Administrator, contributing to various initiatives at our headquarters.

Your contributions will be vital to the Global Maritime Information Systems' objective of enhancing and ensuring the seamless operation of technological capabilities across all maritime sectors for our brands, collaborating with engineering and development teams to assess and identify optimal cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, configure, monitor, and maintain Kubernetes clusters in both Azure and on-premises environments.
  • Enhance and refine existing systems.
  • Provide training to teams on the adoption of new Cloud technologies and initiatives.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and deployment challenges.
  • Develop and sustain effective communication channels and relationships within the Carnival Corporation community.

You will engage in working groups and business initiatives that leverage Cloud technologies, interact with various corporate teams, and seek automation, troubleshooting, and mentorship opportunities for team members.

  • A relevant undergraduate degree coupled with substantial experience in Cloud computing or related IT fields.
  • Prior experience with Kubernetes cluster networking.
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Cloud Engineer and/or Kubernetes Administrator.
  • Familiarity with on-premises edge Kubernetes solutions, such as SUSE K3S, and certifications in Azure, AWS, or GCP are preferred.
  • Ability to design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes applications across diverse environments.
  • Proven success in mastering Infrastructure As Code methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, along with excellent troubleshooting abilities.
  • A global perspective, embracing diversity and fluent communication in English.
  • Natural aptitude for teamwork, inspiring others to excel.
