Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cluster Accounts Payable Specialist to manage the financial transactions and payment processes of our organization in Italy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate coding, documentation, and timely payments in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate coding, documentation, and timely payments in compliance with company policies and procedures for our Italian Hotels
  • Manage different information systems and maintain spreadsheets and databases
  • Control costs and validate purchase orders
  • Organize payments to suppliers and make bank reconciliations
  • Collaborate with various departments, vendors, and suppliers to resolve any payment-related inquiries or issues
  • Supervise inventories of all our properties and maintain accurate and organized records of all Accounts Payable transactions
  • Ensure compliance with Italian tax regulations and reporting requirements
  • Assist in the month-end closing process by providing necessary reports and reconciliations related to Accounts Payable, accruals management, Asset Management, and Depreciation
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing required documentation and explanations
  • Travel to our properties (20% travel time)
Core Competencies
  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • 2+ years of hospitality experience is a plus
  • Previous experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred
  • Flexible schedule - long hours during Closing and Budget period
  • Ability to make thoughtful decisions and give constructive criticism
  • Maximizes efforts towards productivity, identifies problem areas, and assists in implementing solutions
