Job Title: Public Affairs Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Public Affairs Specialist to join our team at the NATO Communications and Information Agency. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to our leadership on all public affairs-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic advice on public affairs and communication matters to the Chief of Staff and other senior leaders.
  • Develop and implement effective communication plans to promote the agency's mission and values.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media representatives, government officials, and other international organizations.
  • Manage and coordinate public affairs events, including press conferences, media briefings, and other high-profile events.
  • Develop and disseminate public affairs materials, including press releases, media advisories, and other communication products.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage of the agency's activities and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop and implement communication strategies that support the agency's goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • University degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in public affairs, communication, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a normal office environment with occasional travel to other NATO locations. The work is normally performed in a secure office environment with artificial light and air.

Security Clearance: A NATO security clearance is required for this position.

Language: English is the primary language of communication for this position.

Contract: The successful candidate will be offered a 3-year definite duration contract.
