Room Service Supervisor

Join Meliá Hotels International S.A. as a Room Service Supervisor and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and customer service skills. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our room service department, providing exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining high standards of quality and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the room service team to ensure efficient service delivery and high-quality food presentation.
  • Verify compliance with food safety and quality standards, as well as cleanliness and stock standards.
  • Control movement times and coordinate with the kitchen for quality control and presentation of dishes.
  • Oversee the shelf-life turnover programme and ensure compliance verification.
  • Perform cash cut-off and closing of the REVO department for the day.
  • Attend to the reception and inventory of trolleys and control access to and delivery of goods from the warehouse.
  • Review and perform VIP small gifts and consumption cheques.
  • Ensure awareness, spread, and participation in health and safety programs.
Requirements:
  • Higher degree and/or university degree, preferably in Tourism or Hospitality, or similar.
  • Local language (depending on the geographical location of the property) and advanced English. A third language will be highly valuable.
  • Knowledge of the latest waiting trends, REVO, and POS management.
  • Advanced command of the Office 365 package.
  • Ability to work in a team, service orientation, quality and professionalism, global and strategic vision, and communication and influence as key competencies.
  • Creativity and innovation.
  • At least 1 year's experience in a similar position, in the sector.
