GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for the effective management of stock levels within the store, ensuring that sales teams can deliver exceptional service to customers. This role involves overseeing stock operations and acting as a vital support to various teams. The individual will manage all physical and digital product flows, ensuring that the store's inventory is consistently accurate and organized, in strict adherence to company protocols.

The Inventory Control Supervisor leads operational activities, fostering team development with integrity and embodying the core values of Hermès.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Leadership and Coordination

Direct the stock control team and organize daily tasks; Establish performance objectives and conduct annual evaluations, providing ongoing feedback; Mentor, train, and develop team members; Collaborate with the Store Manager, Sales & Service Manager, and Sales Team as necessary; Serve as the primary contact for corporate inquiries related to stock; Implement corrective measures for team members regarding stock discrepancies; Actively participate in team meetings led by the Store Manager and contribute to morning briefings on operational matters and stock KPIs.

Daily Operations and Stock Accuracy

Oversee and assist the team in managing all incoming and outgoing product flows, ensuring synchronization between physical inventory and system records; Organize and execute the cancellation and reintegration of expired reservations into available stock; Supervise the resolution of negative stock situations; Manage the handling of damaged or shop-soiled products.

Inventory Audits and Cycle Counts

Plan and ensure thorough preparation for inventory audits and cycle counts; Contribute to scanning and investigative processes; Generate final reports for the Finance Department; Suggest improvements for future inventory audits to minimize shrinkage.

Maintenance and Security

Oversee daily boutique operations to ensure timely interventions and quality control measures; Coordinate with external security personnel alongside the Store Manager.

Optimizing Storage Organization

Develop, implement, and communicate best practices for storage in alignment with business needs and internal guidelines; Proactively adjust processes as necessary to meet evolving requirements.

Stock Procedures Compliance

Ensure adherence to storage rules, stock procedures, and best practices; Act as the store's primary user and trainer on stock-related processes: onboard new employees on procedures and tools, communicate updates, and support the team with any challenges; Raise concerns when necessary and propose action plans to optimize processes, simplify daily operations, and enhance team efficiency.

Replenishment Management

Collaborate with the Store Manager to identify and procure the right products; Oversee replenishment processes in coordination with the Store Manager by analyzing stock levels, pending deliveries, and sales forecasts; Assist store management in monitoring overall inventory and preparing purchase orders.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably with an analytical focus; Highly organized, detail-oriented, reliable, proactive, and capable of managing team workflows and anticipating needs; Proficient in both Italian and English; knowledge of a third language is a plus; Background in stock management or a supervisory role, ideally within international luxury retail; Strong proficiency in Excel and other IT tools; Service-oriented with a proactive approach to proposing improvements and supporting colleagues; Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a talent for motivating teams and driving performance; Professionalism, enthusiasm, dynamism, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential.
