About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Shift Engineer to join our team at the San Domenico Palace Taormina. As a Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting day-to-day routine maintenance and preventative maintenance within the hotel rooms and public areas.
- Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update logs
- Diagnose and handle all repairs of equipment, including motors, starters, breakers, chillers, and associated equipment
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
- Perform scheduled building routine rounds
- Respond to emergency conditions, such as fires and power failures
- Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in a timely manner
- Install or relocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary
What You Bring
- A minimum of three years of experience in a hotel or resort environment in the same role, with a good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating/cooling, painting, carpentry, structural, recycling, ground care, parking areas, outsourced gardening teams, and fire and safety
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, along with the highest level of integrity and transparency, strong technical expertise, an eye for detail, and a passion for service

Schedule & Hours
- This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule, including work on weekends and holidays
