Orient Express La Minerva, Rome

Rome, the beloved capital of the Orient Express legacy, will host the first Orient Express hotel, La Minerva. In collaboration with Arsenale S.p.A, the hotel will feature exquisite interior architecture and artistic direction, transforming a historic 17th-century palace into a luxurious destination.


Job Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Manager at Luxury Hotel La Minerva in Rome is essential in upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and order that define high-end hospitality. This role encompasses overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure guest comfort, satisfaction, and safety while adhering to the hotel's excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

Recruit, train, and manage a team of housekeeping personnel, ensuring they embody the hotel's service ethos. Effectively delegate tasks, maintain work schedules, and conduct performance evaluations to cultivate a motivated and efficient team.

Operational Management

Develop and enforce cleaning protocols and standards to uphold the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the property. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper handling of cleaning materials. Monitor and manage inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, coordinating timely replenishment orders.

Quality Control

Conduct regular inspections of guest accommodations, public areas, and service spaces to ensure adherence to cleanliness standards. Address deficiencies promptly, implementing corrective measures and following up to ensure resolution.

Guest Experience

Foster a guest-centric culture within the housekeeping department, prioritizing guest needs to enhance their overall experience. Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and feedback, striving to exceed expectations.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

Communicate effectively with other departments, including front office and maintenance, to coordinate housekeeping activities. Maintain open communication with hotel management, participating in meetings to provide updates and propose improvements.

Staff Development

Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for housekeeping staff, focusing on skills enhancement and career growth. Promote a culture of teamwork and excellence, recognizing outstanding performance and fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience in housekeeping management within the luxury hotel sector, with a solid understanding of industry standards. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring a diverse team to achieve exceptional results. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with housekeeping management software. Exceptional communication skills in both verbal and written forms, with fluency in Italian and English; additional languages are a plus. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred. Certification in Housekeeping Management or related disciplines is advantageous.
