About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled General Manager to lead our luxury hotel, Sofitel, in delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring seamless execution of company standards, mission, vision, and values.
    • Maximize financial performance, guest satisfaction, and colleague development.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Directly supervise the Executive Committee members and indirectly supervise all hotel personnel.
    • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and training programs.
    • Act as an integer role model, displaying explicit knowledge and awareness of company standards.
  • Service Excellence
    • Develop strong relationships with guests, ensuring recognition and personalization.
    • Maintain and enhance product and service quality standards by conducting ongoing evaluations.
    • Attain and maintain service levels that exceed expectations.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop accurate and aggressive long and short-range financial objectives consistent with the Brand strategy.
    • Grow business by thinking about the future and deciding on strategic initiatives.
  • Owner Relationship
    • Maintain regular and strong communication with owners and operator.
Requirements
  • Prior 5+ years experience in luxury hotel management essential as GM or Hotel manager.
  • International experience in luxury hotels in key markets (Europe, US) together with experience in Italy.
  • Strong match with Accor Inspiring Leader capability framework.
  • Strong Educational background.
  • Fluent in English and Italian, French is a plus.
  • Good understanding of the local market (previous experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Italian labor law and previous experience of union relations.
  • Strong international network.
  • Experience with owners relationship.
  • Must be strategic, creative and able to clearly communicate how plans will deliver on overall goals.
  • Excellent speaking and presentation skills.
  • Act as a sales person and PR, handsome.
  • Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Adaptable & flexible with the capacity to set high goals and standards for the smooth operation of the hotel.
  • Effective management style, hands-on and approachable.
  • Bottom-line oriented with emphasis on quality guest-service and team-building.
