We are seeking a highly skilled Surveyor to join our team in Italy, where you will be responsible for the certification and verification of materials and components under class and non-class related systems and processes.

As a Surveyor, you will manage a group of customers and interact with colleagues from all over the world to follow up on their needs. You will also be the advisor of our customers, guiding them in the regulatory landscape of the maritime industry and supporting their development.

The ideal candidate will have a Master/bachelor's degree in marine/mechanical/electrical engineering (or other relevant disciplines) and at least 5 years of experience in the Maritime Industry. Excellent written and spoken business-standard English is essential, as well as a valid driver's license and willingness to frequently travel within the country and occasionally within the Area/Region.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Certification and verification of materials and components under class and non-class related systems and processes.
  • Manage a group of customers and interact with colleagues from all over the world to follow up on their needs.
  • Be the advisor of our customers to guide them in the regulatory landscape of the maritime industry and support their development.
  • Perform newbuilding surveys on passenger ships according to rules and regulations.
  • Ensure smooth execution of projects in collaboration with the project manager and his/her team on site.
  • Conduct all activities in a safe manner with due regard to your own safety and the safety of others.

Location: Mestre (VE) or Vimercate (MB), Italy

Position Qualifications:

  • Master/bachelor's degree in marine/mechanical/electrical engineering (or other relevant disciplines).
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Maritime Industry.
  • Excellent written and spoken business-standard English.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to frequently travel within the country and occasionally within the Area/Region.
