Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Logistics Coordinator to join our team at the Arizona State Government. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and improving transportation delivery methods and routes to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate shipments and maintain accurate records of goods
  • Dispatch multiple drivers and work crews for pickups and deliveries
  • Monitor fleet vehicles and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Develop and implement metrics to determine carrier performance
  • Collaborate with transportation supervisors and other stakeholders to improve logistics operations
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal transportation laws and regulations
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of transportation and distribution systems, including DOT regulations
  • Experience in dispatching and logistics planning, preferably in a transportation or logistics industry
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in transportation, logistics, or related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Minimum of three years of experience in transportation or logistics industry
  • Experience in truckload operations, planning, and coordinating loads for a fleet of vehicles
