Job Title: Supplier Quality Commodity Manager

Wabtec Corporation is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for the freight and transit rail sectors. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supplier Quality Commodity Manager to join our team in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure best quality performance of suppliers within the supplier commodity panel.
  • Manage critical supplier issues, including root cause analysis, corrective actions, and recovery plan implementation.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve supplier performance and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Purchasing, to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Support the development and implementation of supplier development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Wabtec standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Engineering or Metallurgy degree.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality in a globalized industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical drawing and experience in Machining and Casting processes.
  • Fluent English language skills. Other languages, such as Spanish, Italian, German, or French, are a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Curiosity and willingness to increase knowledge and skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Professional tools.
  • Travel availability of at least 30%-40% of the time, mainly in Europe.
