About the Role

Campari Group is a leading player in the global spirits industry, with a portfolio of premium and super premium brands marketed and distributed worldwide. As a major player in the industry, we own 22 plants globally and have a distribution network in 22 countries, employing approximately 4,000 people.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Plant Controller to join our European Financial Planning & Analysis organization. The successful candidate will report to the SC FP&A EMEA Manufacturing Manager and be responsible for ensuring a sustainable profit and loss statement for the Novi Ligure plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Define and manage financial plant forecasts, liaising with team leaders from various departments to ensure accurate budgeting and revised budgeting.
  • Month-End Closing Activities: Prepare and execute necessary month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Loss Tree Analysis: Develop and maintain a loss tree analysis at the plant level, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Accountability and Responsibility: Collaborate with plant management to define clear accountabilities and responsibilities, ensuring a controlling mindset throughout the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the plant's continuous improvement process, supporting SC functions and mapping relevant productivity initiatives.
  • Reporting and Statistics: Elaborate periodic reporting and statistics for plant directors and regional/group stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information.
  • Controlling Mindset: Promote a controlling rather than an accounting mindset throughout the plant management, supporting decision-making processes.
  • Variance Analysis: Analyze variances versus targets, identifying root causes of deviations and monitoring corrective actions.
  • Process Mapping: Map end-to-end processes from a COGP perspective, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Economic and Operational Analysis: Support the development of economic and operational analyses, contributing to decision-making processes.
  • Asset Management: Control asset management, evaluating capital expenditure projects and managing administrative tasks within the SAP environment.
  • Business Cases: Design and evaluate business cases, suggesting improvement actions on plant management processes and organizational procedures.
  • Information Flow: Ensure regular information flows between plant and administration functions.
  • Transaction Evaluation: Evaluate all plant transactions according to accounting procedures.
Requirements
  • Industrial Controlling Experience: Minimum 8 years of proven industrial controlling experience, preferably in a multinational FMCG company.
  • Planning and Analysis: Planning and analysis experience within finance and controlling departments.
  • Matrix Organization: Familiarity with working in a matrix organization.
  • Challenging Projects: Experience working on challenging projects.
  • Education: Degree in Economics or Engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SAP (MM, CO, PP, PM modules) and BW, with PowerBi knowledge a plus.
