GCHCONSULTING srl is seeking a highly skilled Transport and Warehousing Purchasing Manager to join our team in Italy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and synergies in transport and warehousing categories.
  • Benchmark transport and warehousing costs to optimize logistics spend.
  • Develop and manage budgets for logistics services.
  • Monitor and review suppliers' performances to ensure compliance with agreed standards and service levels.
  • Collaborate with logistics service providers to drive continuous improvement.
  • Negotiate transport and warehousing agreements to secure adequate capacity.
  • Support sales departments in customer development objectives with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and adherence to group logistics systems and standards.
  • Manage invoicing and claim issues with suppliers, and provide market intelligence on suppliers' capabilities and competition.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or purchasing.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and experience with Windows Office and ERPs (SAP preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and maintain collaborative relationships with operations and external partners.
  • Fluency in Italian and English (additional languages an asset).
  • Travel requirements up to 20%.
