As a key member of our legal team, you will play a vital role in ensuring adherence to data protection regulations, particularly GDPR. You will act as a liaison between regulatory bodies, data subjects, and internal management teams. Your responsibilities will encompass drafting privacy policies, evaluating products and services for compliance, advising on data subject inquiries, and managing data protection responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance with GDPR and personal data protection standards.
- Provide guidance on conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments.
- Maintain effective communication with regulatory authorities and internal teams.
- Analyze the implications of GDPR on business operations.
- Foster awareness of local data protection laws among team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
- Understanding of the operational responsibilities and compliance mandates of a Credit Reference Agency (CRA).
- In-depth knowledge of national and European data protection legislation, particularly GDPR.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in regulatory advisory roles, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts in simple terms.
- Proven experience in engaging with regulatory bodies.
- Experience in compliance monitoring, process development, and high-quality report writing.
- At least 3 years in senior compliance or legal positions.
- Fluent in English.
