Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy and Regulatory Lawyer to join our team at Experian. As a key member of our compliance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring our ongoing compliance with GDPR requirements and acting as an intermediary between regulators, data subjects, and local management committees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with GDPR requirements and personal data protection policies.
  • Provide expert advice on Data Protection Impact Assessments and facilitate communication with supervisory authorities and our teams.
  • Assess products and services for data protection obligations and provide guidance on data subject requests.
  • Oversee data protection obligations and ensure that our business practices align with national and European data protection laws.
  • Engage team members and maintain awareness of local data protection regulations.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of the generic operational responsibilities and compliance requirements of a Credit Reference Agency.
  • Expertise in national and European data protection laws, including the GDPR.
  • 3+ years of experience advising on regulatory requirements, specifically the ability to interpret and explain in plain English.
  • Proficiency in working with regulators and experience of undertaking compliance monitoring, developing processes, and writing reports to a high standard.
  • +3 years of experience in one or more senior compliance or legal roles.
  • English fluency.
