Job Title: Data Privacy and Regulatory Lawyer

Job Summary

We're seeking a Data Privacy and Regulatory Lawyer to ensure ongoing compliance with GDPR requirements and act as an intermediary between regulators, data subjects, and local/regional management committees. The ideal candidate will have expertise in legal regulatory matters within the banking sector, including AML, compliance, and data protection.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor GDPR compliance and personal data protection policies
  • Provide advice on Data Protection Impact Assessments
  • Facilitate communication with supervisory authorities and our teams
  • Understand GDPR possible effects for the business
  • Engage team members and maintain awareness of local data protection regulations
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of the generic operational responsibilities and compliance requirements of a Credit Reference Agency
  • Expertise in national and European data protection laws, practices, and in-depth understanding of the GDPR
  • 3+ years of experience advising on regulatory requirements, specifically the ability to interpret and explain in plain English
  • Proficiency in working with regulators
  • Experience of undertaking compliance monitoring, developing processes, and writing reports to a high standard
