Job Summary

You will play a critical role in ensuring ongoing compliance with GDPR requirements and serving as an intermediary between regulators, data subjects, and management committees. Your responsibilities will include drafting privacy notices, assessing products and services, advising on data subject requests, and overseeing data protection obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain GDPR compliance and personal data protection policies.
  • Provide expert advice on Data Protection Impact Assessments.
  • Facilitate communication with supervisory authorities and internal teams.
  • Understand the potential effects of GDPR on the business.
  • Engage team members and maintain awareness of local data protection regulations.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Knowledge of the generic operational responsibilities and compliance requirements of a Credit Reference Agency.
  • Expertise in national and European data protection laws, including in-depth understanding of the GDPR.
  • 3+ years of experience advising on regulatory requirements, with the ability to interpret and explain complex concepts in plain English.
  • Proficiency in working with regulators.
  • Experience of undertaking compliance monitoring, developing processes, and writing reports to a high standard.
  • +3 years of experience in senior compliance or legal roles.
  • English fluency.
