In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Develop and implement specific strategies and frameworks for Generative AI and Decision AI initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on applied-AI projects by leveraging industry best practices and external insights to maximize applied-AI value.
  • Act as the technical lead for applied-AI projects, collaborating to define concepts and establish proof of concept.
  • Build an external network of industry specialists and assess potential partnerships, including strategic vendors and consultants, to enhance the evaluation of the company's setup.
  • Design reusable applied-AI components (Models, Tools, Infrastructure) and support the introduction of applied-AI pilot projects.
  • Facilitate mentorship and coaching for junior applied-AI experts, fostering knowledge exchange and providing inspiration to attract talent.
  • Stay abreast of the latest AI advancements and promote knowledge sharing within the organization.

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of relevant experience in Data and AI, particularly within manufacturing or R&D environments, and expertise in Generative AI applications.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Data Science and MLOps, particularly in ML/DL and Generative AI.
  • Experience in at least one of the following areas: GenAI for operational efficiency, AI ML for process monitoring, AI ML for quality assurance, or EdgeAI/TinyML applications.
  • Proven track record in software deployment, CI-CD, and ML operations, along with a focus on software/AI quality.
  • Strong capability in implementing ML/DL solutions in large-scale productive environments.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex interrelations, structure them effectively, and inspire collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German to engage effectively across various roles and functions.
