Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Manage and oversee various health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize internal reporting tools to analyze data and identify root causes of safety incidents, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Health and Safety Guidance: Provide expert guidance and support to teams on health and safety projects and policies, ensuring a culture of safety and inclusivity.
  • Technical Equipment Specifications: Drive programs to improve technical equipment specifications and designs, ensuring they meet Amazon's high safety and efficiency standards.
  • Travel and Collaboration: Travel within the region to collaborate with teams and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
About the Team

Our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. We work closely with managers, associates, and local governments to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: Degree-level education and certifications in ASPP or RSPP.
  • Technical Expertise: Professional training in a technical profession, preferably mechatronics or electrics.
  • Project Management: Relevant experience managing projects and complying with local Health and Safety legislation.
  • Communication Skills: Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and Italian.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean and Kaizen Methodologies: Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Sustainability: Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Chartered Membership: Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH).
  • Engineering Background: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
