We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven Buyer to contribute to our procurement initiatives.
Role Objective:
Implement commodity strategies with a focus on subcontracting for installation activities within the signaling and infrastructure sectors. Ensure project delivery aligns with Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives. Manage local supplier relationships and identify potential business synergies.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management:
- Assess project and business requirements.
- Initiate and manage Requests for Quotation (RFQ) with suppliers using standardized tools.
- Negotiate cost reductions with suppliers.
- Provide input for order placements.
- Ensure achievement of QCD targets, manage Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ), and handle claims.
- Lead performance reviews of suppliers regarding QCD.
- Address initial issues before escalating to management.
- Adhere to Alstom's code of ethics and guidelines.
Commodity Support:
- Consolidate commodity requirements.
- Actively participate in the development of commodity strategies and panels.
- Assist the Commodity Manager during the tendering process.
- Represent commodities in project discussions.
- Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Apply Alstom's sourcing processes and share insights.
Project Involvement:
- Work closely with sourcing representatives for projects and tenders.
- Ensure compliance with work package commitments.
- Meet QCD targets.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 3-4 years of experience in procurement.
- Strong negotiation skills in subcontracting.
- Knowledge of installation activities is essential.
- Experience in signaling and infrastructure or civil works is advantageous.
- Degree in Business or Engineering.
- Fluency in English and international experience are required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
