Job Summary

The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Housekeeping Supervisor. This is a full-time role (40-hour working week made of 8 hours per 5 days and 2 days off) that offers a great opportunity to work in a place of exceptional art and elegance, where history and culture are met with renewed Venetian style.

About the Role

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating cleaning activities, planning and distributing room tidying interventions. You will also inspect guest rooms and public areas after cleaning to ensure the highest standards are met. Additionally, you will identify and report any maintenance issues and missing or damaged property, respond to requests from guests and reception, and process reports on arrivals, departures, and free rooms ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cleaning activities and plan room tidying interventions

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience in a similar role in a 5-star hotel, ideally in an international chain. Knowledge of the Opera system and English are advantageous skills. You will also need a friendly and people-oriented attitude, a strongly team-oriented attitude, a natural talent for paying attention to the smallest details, a positive outlook, and an outgoing personality. Planning, coaching, delegation, and team organization skills are also essential.
