About the Role
As a System Architect at Thales, you will be part of an integrated agile engineering team responsible for developing new products or proposing improvements to existing ones. Your primary focus will be on performing studies and simulations to validate innovative concepts and verify their performance on real systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop complex systems
- Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate new concepts
- Develop and maintain system specifications and external interfaces
- Analyze system/subsystem specifications to determine relevant modifications
- Support hardware and software teams in specifications and interfaces
- Prepare system integration by defining test strategies and conducting integration, verification, and qualification tests
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience or Master's with 4+ years' experience
- Master's degree in Engineering in one or several disciplines: Electronic, Digital, Telecom, Mechanical, Radio frequency
- Experience in system engineering development
- Overall engineer knowledge: Electronic, Software, Telecom, Mechanical, Radio frequency, and engineering process
- Proficient in standard Office tools (e.g. MS Office)
- Team spirit to find effective solutions
- Capacity to solve complex problems
- Fluent English and Italian, ability to speak additional languages (German or French) a benefit
Desirable Skills
- Basic knowledge of Navaids equipment (ILS, VOR, TACAN, DME, ADSB, MLAT, WAM)
- Proficient in issue tracking software (e.g. Jira)
- Proficient in requirement management tools (e.g. DOORS)
- Self-motivated, critical thinker with strong curiosity to learn
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
