The AC Power Global Large Converter COE department specializes in the design of large Uninterruptible Power Supply systems and converters, focusing on both mechanical and electrical aspects. Our team conducts engineering tests, ensures compliance with design specifications, performs value engineering analyses to optimize costs, and provides support for field engineers addressing unique applications. We also implement specific customer requirements through the Engineer-to-Order (ETO) process, with products that may have both global and regional implications.

We are currently seeking a Control Engineer to enhance our innovative team.

As a Control Engineer, your responsibilities will include designing and developing control architectures from both firmware and hardware perspectives, creating functional and architectural specifications, defining validation tests according to standard procedures, and analyzing specific applications while providing active support and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop control architecture specifications while collaborating in an international environment with firmware and hardware teams.
  • Review existing software implementations to comprehend their functionalities.
  • Assist the testing team in formulating the test plan and evaluating test outcomes.
  • Conduct software testing and validation in line with established procedures.
  • Collaborate with various functions during the product specification phase.
  • Provide support to the service team, either remotely or directly at customer locations, to resolve issues.
  • Generate technical documentation that aligns with process requirements.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Proficiency in Closed Loop Techniques, including Discrete dominion, CLARK & PARK, and D/Q & Alpha/Beta dominions, as well as PWM modulation and space vector techniques.
  • Experience with control modeling using MATLAB & Simulink.
  • Strong programming skills in C.
  • Understanding of fundamental operating system concepts such as processes, memory management, file systems, and task management.
  • Familiarity with software version control tools like CVS, SVN, and GIT.
  • Knowledge of power converters.
  • Customer-focused with a willingness to travel.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Educational background: University degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience: 1-5 years in a similar role.
