Job Summary We are seeking a Piping Materials Engineer to join our Plant Design & Materials Division team in Rome. The successful candidate will work closely with the Piping Materials Management Section Head and be responsible for managing Piping Materials definition, procurement, and quantity follow-up. The role involves working on projects as a Piping Material Engineer, with coordination from the Materials Management Discipline Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities The Piping Material Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Developing Piping Classes Summary & Piping Classes
  • Developing Job Specification for design and supply
  • Preparing Data Sheet of special material
  • Performing Piping Material Take-Offs, Working Instruction, Monitoring Quantities
  • Preparing Material Requisition for inquiry and purchase
  • Analyzing offers from vendors, performing the technical Bid Tabulation, including technical clarifications and deviations
  • Reviewing Vendors' documentation
  • Preparing Quantities re-evaluation both for Purchasing and Construction
  • Performing Piping Materials Forecast Run to crosscheck the material availability at Site to ensure the Construction workload

Requirements We are looking for a candidate with a Master degree in Mechanical/Materials Engineering, fluent in Italian and English, and with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role in the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will have strong MS Office skills, including Excel, and experience with Smart Plant Materials.
