Role Overview: Hydrogen Technology R&D Manager

As the Hydrogen Technology R&D Manager, you will be pivotal in our commitment to decarbonization projects at both national and international levels. You will be part of our Decarbonization Department, specifically within the Decarbonization Technology Solution Unit.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee internal and external research initiatives in collaboration with Italian and international universities and research institutions associated with the Snam Decarbonization Research Center, focusing on hydrogen technologies, sector coupling, and energy storage.
- Extract and generate value from existing and new research projects aligned with Snam's strategic goals, including identifying business models and intellectual property strategies.
- Support technical due diligence and explore potential strategic partnerships with innovative startups.
- Apply for funding for national and international research projects, selecting the most suitable partners for consortium formation.
- Lead a talented and dedicated team.
Qualifications Required:
- A degree in Engineering, Physics, or a STEM field, with a focus on energy or environmental topics.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- A genuine interest in the evolution of the energy sector, particularly regarding technological advancements and environmental policy frameworks.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fluency in English.
- A Master's degree or PhD in Chemical, Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in similar roles.
- In-depth knowledge of decarbonization technologies, including low-carbon hydrogen production methods, fuel cells, CO2 valorization, CO2 capture, and long-duration energy storage.
- A proven track record in successfully managing R&D projects.
