If you share our passion for a low-carbon future, this could be the opportunity for you. We're seeking a Piping Materials Engineer to join our Plant Design & Materials Division team in Rome. You'll work closely with the Piping Materials Management Section Head to manage piping materials definition, procurement, and quantity follow-up. Your role will involve working on projects as a Piping Material Engineer, coordinating with Materials Management Discipline Coordinator. Your growth potential includes encompassing all Piping Material Management issues.
The Role and Responsibilities- Develop Piping Classes Summary & Piping Classes
- Develop Job Specification for design and supply
- Prepare Data Sheet of special material
- Perform Piping Material Take-Offs, Working Instruction, Monitoring Quantities
- Prepare Material Requisition for inquiry and purchase
- Analyze offers from vendors, perform the technical Bid Tabulation, including technical clarifications and deviations
- Review Vendors' documentation
- Prepare Quantities re-evaluation both for Purchasing and Construction
- Perform Piping Materials Forecast Run to crosscheck the material availability at Site to ensure the Construction workload
You'll have opportunities for business trips to attend technical meetings with Clients or Suppliers, visit Vendor workshops, and collaborate with colleagues overseas. Occasionally, you'll also support engineering activities related to Piping Materials directly on our Plant sites, assisting with prefabrication and erection activities. About YouWe're looking for a candidate with the following essential requirements:
- Local contract only
- Candidates must possess a permit to work in Italy
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical/Materials Engineering
Languages:
- Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken)
Main Skills:
- Team player with an international and multi-cultural mindset
- Growth mindset and continuous improvement approach
- Effective presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels
- Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks on time with high precision
- Availability for international mobility for short or long-term assignments
- Open to emerging energy sources and digital tools
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar role in the Oil & Gas sector
IT Skills:
- Strong MS Office skills, with a great command of Excel
- Smart Plant Materials
