Job Overview

Element Solutions Inc is seeking a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team in Europe. As a key member of our Automation and Electrical function, you will be responsible for designing and implementing PLC control systems for wastewater treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop PLC control systems for new and retrofitted wastewater treatment systems.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure design intent is achieved.
  • Establish PLC programs, memory maps, and programming notes.
  • Develop electrical drawings and troubleshoot control systems with customers.
  • Travel to customer sites for design reviews, research, installation, and troubleshooting.
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of an associate's degree in electrical engineering or automation and have five years of related experience in the wastewater treatment industry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills and Competencies
  • Strong mechanical and electrical background.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Siemens programming.
Education and Certifications

Associate's degree in Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
