About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Groups Sales Manager to join our team at Four Seasons Hotel Milano. As a Groups Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling group business to various markets, generating hotel awareness through direct sales calls, fam trips, and tradeshows. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent negotiation skills, and strong decision-making abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise and strengthen relationships with key accounts to drive business and increase market share.
  • Utilize various prospecting resources to solicit and secure new business on behalf of the hotel.
  • Develop and execute account plans for assigned market territories to ensure maximum revenue and budgeted targets are achieved.
  • Collaborate with the Events and Conference & Services Team to ensure that all departments have the most up-to-date information regarding group and event requirements.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue and direct sales goals, including outside sales calls, prospecting calls, site inspections, and fam trips.
  • Maintain thorough and complete product knowledge of FS hotel properties and in-depth understanding of the competitive set's features, advantages, and benefits.
  • Perform customer site inspections and conduct sales calls to assigned territories to uncover needs and present solutions that will maximize booking opportunities and create strong customer relationships.
  • Track and focus on conversion to ensure hotel revenue objectives are impacted and achieved.
  • Establish and maintain strong Golden hygiene, including account creation, account traces, contact information, client email lists, bookings, etc., in accordance with Four Seasons standards.
  • Understand and maximize the utilization of all automated sales and reservations systems (Opera) involved with group business.
  • Participate in sales meetings and strategy meetings as required.
  • Respond and maintain effective correspondence with all potential and existing clients.
  • Produce and execute quarterly and annual action plans.
  • Participate in annual Marketing Plan development, including proposing and managing territory sales expenses and travel budgets.
  • Assist the Senior Director of Marketing and the Director of Sales on special projects aiming to increase demand, productivity, and profit.

Requirements:

  • At least three to five years of experience in a Groups Sales Manager role.
  • Cluster experience.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Creative and innovative approach to sales activities.
  • Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in Italian and English.
  • Working computer skills and knowledge, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Opera.
