We are seeking a highly skilled Trims Specialist to join our Supply Chain Department in Bologna. This role is designed to support our Material Manager in the development and procurement of trims with external suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and accurate information management.
Key Responsibilities- Trims Chart Management: Create, update, and maintain the internal Trims Chart file, ensuring all relevant information is accurate and accessible to relevant teams.
- Supplier Communication: Effectively communicate with nominated suppliers, providing timely updates on needs and forecasts, and resolving any issues or delays.
- Delivery Lead-Time Management: Monitor and ensure delivery lead-time is on track, identifying and addressing any potential issues or bottlenecks.
- Internal Meetings and Reporting: Attend internal meetings on trims development, reporting production issues and proposing solutions.
- PLM and Technical Documentation: Update PLM, collect technical sheets on new trims, and verify information on washing according to Woolrich's standards.
- Pre-Production Samples: Coordinate and manage pre-production samples for approval with Design and Product Compliance teams.
- Order Management and Shipping: Manage consumable materials' orders in the internal order management system (Microsoft Dynamics) and relevant shipping documents with Logistics and suppliers.
- Background and Experience: Background in economics, sales, textile, or a related field, with a strong knowledge of materials and at least 1 year of experience in a similar position, preferably in the fashion industry or a fast-paced environment.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong negotiation skills, ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, strong organizational and time management skills, analytical and problem-solving approach, proficiency in Microsoft Office Package, especially Excel, knowledge of PLM or similar, and fluency in English.
