Research UnitThe Remote Sensing for Digital Earth (RSDE) Research Unit is part of the Digital Society Center and deals with the automatic analysis of remote sensing images for Earth observation and space exploration.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a young recent graduate interested in pursuing an internship experience in the analysis of remote sensing image time series for Earth observation.
Key Responsibilities- Analyzing Multi-temporal/Multi-annual satellite image time series
- Developing Deep learning architectures for land cover and/or land cover changes analysis
- Validating the proposed method and analyzing the results
- Being enrolled in or holding a Master on telecommunication engineering, computer science, data science, artificial intelligence
- Knowledge of major subjects related to remote sensing and image processing
- Fluent knowledge of written and spoken Italian and English (min. level B2)
- Relational and teamwork skills
- Good adaptability, flexibility and initiative skills
- Programming skills in python and/or MATLAB
- Experience in designing, implementing, and using containerize software solutions in research environments
- Internship experience duration: 6 months for extra-curricular internships
- Opportunity reserved to students enrolled in Master's degree or recently graduated
- The internship experience will take place at the Science and Technology Cluster
