Benefits Analyst for Leave Administration

Villanova University is seeking a skilled Benefits Analyst to join our dynamic Human Resources team. As a key member of our benefits team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our leave programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer Family Medical Leaves (FMLA) to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Provide guidance and education to employees and supervisors on disability plans, workers' compensation, and FMLA regulations.
  • Coordinate and communicate with Workers Compensation Claim Adjusters and Nurses to ensure timely claims handling and medical treatment.
  • Manage workers' compensation and disability cases to ensure proper case management and financial cost analysis.
  • Proactively review and evaluate benefit plans, explore new products, and make enhancement recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing leaves, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, including FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and general HR governing policies.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to reduce complex legal and financial elements to ensure managers and employees understand policies and procedures.
