Job Title: Senior Staff Analog IC Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Analog IC Design Engineer to join our team at EU077 Vishay Semiconductor Italiana S.p.A. in Northern Italy. As a key member of our IC Design Team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex analog and mixed-signal ICs for high-performance computing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop IC architectures for switching regulators, DC/DC controllers, power stages, smart power switches, and other analog products.
  • Specify and design analog and mixed-signal sub-systems.
  • Verify design at block-level, IC level, and system level.
  • Participate in product and technology roadmap planning and implementation.
  • Lead design reviews for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Implement Design-For-Testability (DFT) and maintain engineering documents in accordance with quality processes.
  • Track and implement design improvements.
  • Support test-engineering, product engineering, and operations, and participate in ATE data reviews, limit reviews, and device yield analysis.
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or higher qualification.
  • 15+ years of circuit design experience in power management ICs and switching regulator ICs.
  • Master of power conversion topologies and underlying concepts.
  • Modeling and generating specifications and validation criteria of DC-DC converter systems and sub-systems.
  • Good understanding of ESD and latchup robust design.
  • Physical understanding and use experience of CMOS/BiCMOS/BCD process technologies and vertical technologies for discrete MOSFETs.
  • Familiarity with packaging technologies and performance implications.
  • Hands-on test and characterization of ICs.
  • Self-motivated, individual contributor with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in wide-ranging roles and flexible environments.
  • Proven record of product development from definition to release to production.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
