Job Overview

KCTCS is seeking applications for a Manufacturing Faculty member. The full-time instructor will be responsible for delivering a minimum of 15 credit hours of instruction each semester in the field of manufacturing maintenance, maintaining office hours, and providing academic guidance to students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver in-person lectures on topics such as Electricity, Motor Controls, Hydraulics, Programmable Logic Controls, Robotics, and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Maintain at least 5 office hours per week for student consultations.
  • Advise students within the manufacturing division.
  • Provide comprehensive instruction encompassing both theoretical knowledge and practical application.
  • Ensure the upkeep and organization of classrooms and training resources.
  • Stay informed about advancements in the manufacturing sector and contribute to program enhancements.
  • Teach across various levels to support the institution's objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • General knowledge of all facets of the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail; self-motivated and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controls and Robotics.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Previous experience in a community college setting is preferred.
