Job Title: System Design Architect Senior Professional
Location: Rome

Key Responsibilities:

As a leader in the gaming sector, IGT is seeking a Cloud and Application Architect to spearhead the technological strategy for the IGT iLottery platform. This role demands the implementation of cutting-edge technology standards and best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a solid history of architectural design, demonstrating proficiency in Lean and Agile methodologies. Collaboration with a diverse team of architects, engineers, subject matter experts, and product managers is essential to enhance and architect advanced iLottery platforms.

The Cloud and Application Architect will oversee the architecture of the IGT iLottery platform, ensuring effective integration, rationalization, and scalability through teamwork across various departments. The role involves navigating both innovative technologies and legacy systems to elevate the overall architecture in terms of flexibility, performance, quality, and maintainability.

Your contributions will be vital in the following areas:

  • Designing and implementing cloud architecture
  • Rationalizing IGT's technological offerings
  • Proposing integration designs
  • Documenting architectural frameworks
  • Guiding engineering teams during implementation
  • Assisting in troubleshooting as necessary
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years in Azure cloud architecture design
  • At least 3 years of experience with Kubernetes
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development and/or architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence
  • Experience in Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) with Java
  • Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL is advantageous) and web technologies
  • Experience in data analysis, conversion, migration, interfaces, and reporting
  • Proficient in system and solution design, including configuration, customization, integration, testing, and support
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Strong grasp of standard architectural patterns and best practices
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies
  • Proficient in modeling tools (UML, Archi)
