Prysmian Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team. As a Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the pre-lay activities related to the power cable system, acting as a liaison between customers, civil works contractors, and cable laying subcontractors, and ensuring the successful execution of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact with customers and third parties for the supervision of pre-lay activities related to the power cable system.
  • Interface between customers, civil works contractors, and cable laying subcontractors for planning, execution, and quality control of activities.
  • Supervise the laying operation performed by subcontractors, ensuring compliance with the plan and contract requirements.
  • Manage the execution of subcontractors, maintaining accurate records of activities on site.
  • Supervise the backfilling operation, ensuring timely, high-quality, and cable-protective execution.
  • Oversee site safety, enforcing rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.
  • Ensure compliance with internal rules and procedures throughout the project.
  • Support the preparation of method statements and other documentation necessary for project execution.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of proven experience in a construction site context or interest.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects and experience in installation activities on land sites, preferably in the cable industry.
  • Leadership attitude and capability to guide a team to achieve pre-set targets.
  • Good communication skills and relationship approach with clients and subcontractors.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, target orientation, with the ability to manage priorities in coordination with management.
  • Attitude to fast learning and self-commitment.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with basic and common software tools, such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Internet use.
  • English written and spoken.
  • Availability for frequent trips, domestic and abroad.
  • Availability to spend long periods abroad on site (approximately 60-70% per year).
  • Program flexibility.
  • Driving license.
