About the Job

Franke is seeking a highly skilled Digitalization Engineer to join our team at the Franke Center of Competence (CoC). As a key member of our digitalization team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our Digital Production System (DPS) in daily operation, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability between various hardware and software components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with local and global IT departments to ensure effective maintenance and support of DPS infrastructure, applications, and maintenance.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a reliable and efficient communication infrastructure to support manufacturing operations.
  • Provide first-level support for infrastructure and production maintenance, identifying and solving issues, and addressing follow-up issues with suppliers.
  • Configure new dashboards on user requests, add new data models and data sources, and integrate diverse hardware and software components into the plant service bus architecture.
  • Develop and deploy new flows, queues, and other applications using CI/CD practices and tools.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to integrate diverse hardware and software components.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, such as OPC UA, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, MQTT, and Ethernet/IP.
  • Knowledge of Java programming and build tools, such as Maven and Gradle.
