Medical Solutions Lead Dermatology

About the Role
The Medical Solutions Lead serves as the local scientific expert in the therapeutic area, possessing deep knowledge of both assets and disease states. As the comprehensive medical-scientific partner to the local Business Unit, they provide expertise in shaping medical-scientific strategy, guiding tactical execution, and addressing medical inquiries. The Scientific Lead works closely with the Solution Team and Regional Business Leads, ensuring that the highest scientific standards are upheld in all local activities and projects.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in the interdisciplinary development of the Patient Value Plans (PVP).
Provide scientific input in the definition and shaping of local plans and input into MSL-tactics.
Ensure the scientific adequacy and consistency of medical-scientific solutions (projects and activities, including materials), that are initiated and implemented locally or as part of an EU strategy.
Support the conception of medical solutions, like advisory boards, patient initiatives, added value-concepts, etc.
Maintain deep knowledge of therapeutic areas, stakeholders, and market dynamics to develop differentiated patient solutions.
Use innovative approaches and agile decision-making to implement sustainable patient solutions.
Create patient-focused strategies that engage stakeholders and position UCB as a preferred biotech leader.
Anticipate trends in healthcare and integrate them with business insights to develop impactful solutions.
Build trusted partnerships within the medical community to enhance patient value through collaboration and influence.
Ensure adherence to high healthcare standards while creating agile programs for maximum patient benefit.
Identify research questions, analyze data, and apply findings to inform decision-making.
Lead projects with clear vision and strategic focus, ensuring alignment with UCB's objectives.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in a comparable role in Dermatology (preferred) or in any other relevant therapeutic area such as Rheumatology and/or Inflammatory disease.
Previous experience in Dermatology (preferred) is a strong asset.
Fluency in written and spoken English.
Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences required, MD or PhD preferred.
Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory and Access/HTA regulations.
Demonstrated coaching skills for both individual and team development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven expertise in business planning, and developing and executing tactical plans.
Familiarity with clinical studies, Investigator Initiated Studies (ISS), Non-Interventional Studies (NIS), and Real-World Evidence (RWE) projects is advantageous.
