Job Summary

Sidel is seeking a highly skilled Product Support Automation Specialist to join our Regional Product Support Back Office Team based in Parma. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and automation expertise for our Paletizer/Depaletizer machines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide technical support and automation expertise for all Pal & Depal products throughout their entire lifecycle.
  2. Support colleagues in contact with customers through email, tickets, and onsite missions.
  3. Prepare and distribute documentation for troubleshooting automation issues to customers and colleagues.
  4. Conduct automation root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent English language skills and a good level of Italian/French.
  • At least 5 years of experience in technical assistance, field experience, or engineering in packaging equipment (automation side).
  • Electrical fundamentals, including safety equipment, sensors, motion, servo drivers, and inverters.
  • Knowledge of PLC platforms, HMI, and motion platforms.
  • Application of root cause analysis methodology for issue resolution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with different target groups.
