Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Operations Coordinator to join our team at the Air Force Institute Of Technology.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on movement control operations, transportation concepts, principles, and methodology.
  • Coordinate special handling or movement requirements associated with freight, fleet management program, passengers, or other transportation operations.
  • Maintain control over traffic management and logistics regulations to ensure the propriety and legality of passenger and cargo movement.
  • Plan, coordinate, and maintain in-transit visibility of movement requirements.
Requirements
  • A minimum of one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in providing guidance on movement control operations, transportation concepts, principles, and methodology.
  • Ability to maintain control over traffic management and logistics regulations.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
Benefits
  • A competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on qualifications and experience.

Physical Demands
  • Significant amount of time on feet in association with frequent travel and site visits to industrial transportation facilities.
  • Frequent use of computerized systems.
Work Environment
  • The work is mostly performed in an office setting with frequent site visits, inspections, technical assistance visits, and attendance at briefings, working groups, and conferences.
  • You may be exposed to harsh weather conditions while executing duties at various outdoor transportation and logistics facilities.

Please note that you must be deployable and willing to perform duties while deployed at sea on a naval vessel or remote work locations.
