**Job Summary**

Your role as a Molecular Senior Laboratory Technician at Diasorin involves providing critical technical support to ensure the laboratory operates efficiently and effectively, adhering to established procedures and health and safety guidelines.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Ensure equipment maintenance, calibration, and cleaning, and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with quality assurance and environmental health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor consumable and reagent stocks to prevent shortages and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Support the preparation and labeling of reagents, as well as the preparation of reagents for use in laboratory activities.
  • Collaborate with the Quality department to prepare for internal and external audits.
  • Work closely with the Technical and Laboratory Leader to maintain the quality of laboratory-related documentation and plan activities.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and organize the collection and shipment of reagents to other sites.
  • Contribute to the R&D team's day-to-day laboratory activities, including RNA/DNA extractions, PCR/RT-PCR, and cell culture.
  • Perform real-time stability testing and incoming testing of raw materials.

**Requirements**

  • Hold a third-level degree in a relevant scientific discipline, with a specialization in Biology and Biotechnology preferred.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in scientific laboratories, with a focus on biology and/or biotechnology.
  • possess seasoned experience in organizing a scientific laboratory, including the provision of consumables and reagents.
  • Be knowledgeable about good molecular laboratory practice.
  • Have preferred experience in cell cultures and DNA/RNA extraction and nucleic acids amplification techniques.
  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Power Point, Word, and Excel.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with the R&D team and other departments.
  • Have good organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Be highly committed, self-motivated, and flexible.
  • Have good spoken and written English skills.
