Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Product Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the product assurance tasks and activities throughout the full program lifecycle, from design to in-orbit operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and Oversight: Provide support and oversight to the Assembly, Integration, and Test activities of spacecrafts.
- Customer Project Reviews: Participate in customer project reviews, including Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), and Quality Assurance Reviews (QAR).
- Key and Mandatory Inspection Points (KIP/MIP): Prepare and manage KIP/MIP during AIT.
- Product and Quality Assurance Policies: Prepare, implement, and maintain product and quality assurance policies and procedures.
- ECSS-Q Standards: Tailor the ECSS-Q standards based on mission-specific objectives and requirements.
- PA Processes Implementation: Oversee the implementation of PA processes in program activities, including internal auditing activities.
- Non-conformances and Deviations: Manage non-conformances, deviations, critical items control, and quality records generation.
- PA/QA Documentation: Prepare PA/QA documentation for program reviews, including Declared Lists, Nonconformance reports, Mission-Specific PA Plans, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Safety Data Package, etc.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve design, assembly, and quality processes and procedures.
- External Providers: Guide the selection, evaluation, and control of external providers, and generate a Mechanical Parts, Materials, Processes, and Components control process in accordance with required standards for the specific project.
- Teamwork: Adaptability to work in a small team environment closely with hardware, software, mechanical, and systems engineers to ensure effective and efficient processes.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1-5 years of working experience as a PA or Quality Engineer/Officer or equivalent role.
- Education: Bachelor's/MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering, Management Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering is mandatory with no experience in the role.
- Previous Experience: In case of candidates without a degree, a previous experience of maximum 5 years in PA/QA role is necessary, specifically in the activities detailed in this job.
- Industry Experience: Previous experience in aerospace, automotive, or engineering industries in process designing and managing Quality Management System.
- Standards Knowledge: Knowledge of the ECSS-Q standards and Quality Standards (ISO9001, AS/EN9100, etc.) is considered a plus.
- Spacecraft Experience: Familiarity with spacecraft and/or launch vehicle control systems, Small satellite or CubeSat experience, is strongly preferable.
- Quality Control Tools: Familiarity with standard industrial quality control tools, or Atlassian suite is a plus.
- Language Skills: Proficient use of written and oral English language.
- Communication Skills: Good communications skills and teamwork spirit.
- Analytical Skills: Analytical abilities, aptitude for critical thinking, and a rigorous attention to detail.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and stress management skills.
- Travel Requirements: Availability for short national and/or international travel.
- Flexibility: Flexibility and ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
