About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving a range of datacenter infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety: Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and encourage a world-class safety culture.
  • Data Center Operations (DCO): Diagnose hardware and network problems, perform physical repairs, and troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and manually handle and lift equipment as required.
  • Shift Work: Work rotating shifts, including mornings, late nights, and weekends, to maintain the 24/7 data center environment.
Requirements
  • IT hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Completed formal education or training in an IT-related field.
  • A valid EU driving license is required for local travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Diploma or equivalent formal qualification in an IT-related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with network protocols and data center operations.
  • Proficient with ticketing systems and Change Management Systems (CMS).
