Key Responsibilities
Trend Research and Inspiration:
Engage in the creative process of the category through authentic and insightful research, staying informed about both contemporary and historical fashion and market dynamics. Analyze the competitive landscape to uncover opportunities for innovation and differentiation. Utilize various dynamic methods, including art, technology, archives, and literature, to gather inspiration based on thematic directives or inputs from the MRTW Fashion Design Director.Design and Innovation:
Generate fresh ideas and concepts derived from thorough research and inspiration. Create sketches that align with the brand's aesthetic and the provided inputs. Collaborate with the MRTW Fashion Design Director on collection development, overseeing all aspects of the design process. Maintain continuous communication with various categories to ensure cohesion in the Fashion Show/Collection project. Liaise with Merchandising to share insights on Fashion Show developments and ensure the incorporation of received inputs.Fashion Show Execution:
Work alongside the MRTW Fashion Design Director to ensure the accuracy of developed samples, confirming their alignment with initial designs and ensuring material suitability. Facilitate clear communication with Product Development and Pattern Makers, providing essential details for sample creation. Oversee sample development, assisting Product Development by clarifying product specifics and resolving any issues while managing collection-related administrative tasks.Qualifications
Essential Skills
Deep passion and genuine interest in the fashion industry. 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, particularly in Outerwear or Sportswear. Comprehensive understanding of product development, including construction, materials, trims, techniques, and industrial production methods. Strong knowledge of fashion trends, designers, and the brand's history. Proficient hand-drawing and creative communication abilities. A dynamic, creative, and adaptable mindset that aligns with the brand's aesthetic. Expertise in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite. A positive attitude, capable of building collaborative teams with diverse personalities. Problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach. Ability to maintain focus and energy in high-pressure situations. Fluency in both Italian and English.Why Choose Us?
