Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Trend Research and Inspiration:

Engage in the creative process of the category through authentic and insightful research, staying attuned to both contemporary and historical fashion trends. Analyze the market landscape to pinpoint opportunities that allow us to maintain a competitive edge. Drawing from a specific theme or the guidance of the MRTW Fashion Design Director, explore inspiration through various dynamic methods, including art, technology, archives, and literature.

Design and Innovation:

Generate fresh ideas and concepts informed by thorough research and inspiration. Create sketches that align with the directives and aesthetic vision of the brand. Collaborate on collection development with the MRTW Fashion Design Director, overseeing all aspects of the design process and collection evolution. Maintain continuous communication with various categories to ensure alignment in the Fashion Show/Collection initiative. Facilitate interactions with Merchandising, sharing updates on Fashion Show progress and ensuring the integration of received inputs.

Fashion Show Execution:

In partnership with the MRTW Fashion Design Director, ensure meticulous oversight of developed samples, confirming their alignment with initial designs and verifying that materials enhance the final product. Maintain clear communication with Product Development and Pattern Makers, supplying all essential details (e.g., proportions, sizes, materials, colors) for sample creation. Supervise the sample development process, assisting Product Development by clarifying product specifics or offering solutions to challenges while managing collection-related administrative tasks.

Qualifications

Essential Skills

A profound passion and genuine interest in the fashion industry. 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, particularly in Outerwear or Sportswear. Strong understanding of product development, including construction, materials, trims, techniques, and industrial production processes. Comprehensive knowledge of fashion, trends, designers, and the brand's history. Proficient hand-drawing and creative communication abilities. A dynamic, creative, and adaptable mindset that aligns with the brand's aesthetic. Expertise in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Microsoft Suite. A positive attitude, capable of fostering collaborative teams with diverse cultural backgrounds. Problem-solving and solution-oriented approach with a proactive mindset. Ability to sustain energy and focus in high-pressure environments. Fluency in both Italian and English.
