Job Title: Deskside Technician II

At Stefanini, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deskside Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our clients, ensuring their IT systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to clients, resolving hardware and software issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Determine and recommend the most suitable solutions to meet clients' needs, ensuring they receive the best possible support.
  • Analyze and repair product failures, ordering and replacing parts as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Support and maintain user account information, including rights, security, and systems groups, to ensure seamless access to IT systems.
  • Collaborate with Tier 2 and 3 teams to resolve complex issues, providing on-site support when necessary to resolve hardware or software problems.
  • Provide troubleshooting and problem resolution support for all network devices, ensuring optimal network performance.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to resolve hardware and software problems, as required.
  • Receive and resolve hardware or software-related issues from Tier 2 and 3 teams when break-fix is necessary to solve an issue on-site.
  • Interface with hardware and software vendors for planning and problem resolution, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Execute the installation of PCs, peripherals, and LAN-based equipment, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Assist with setting up security, file access, and other administrative procedures associated with moves, ensuring minimal disruption to clients.
  • Move workstations, peripherals, and telecommunications equipment, as required, to ensure efficient and effective IT support.
  • Order, receive, and provide all required equipment, materials, and third-party vendor services to implement IMACs, ensuring timely completion.
  • Install and set up equipment, cables, outlets, and all other hardware required for implementing IMACs, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Test completed IMACs and verify acceptance by end-users, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Document changes to inventory use and configuration, ensuring accurate records for future reference.
  • Provide AV and conference support with software such as Webex, Skype for Business, Zoom, and other collaboration tools, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • ITIL V3 Foundation Certification (recommended)
  • Microsoft Operating System/Office Certification(s) will be an asset
  • Advanced MS Office 365 skills
  • Scripting, coding skills will be considered an advantage
  • Able to solve simple hardware issues
  • iOS, Android advanced user
  • Basic Networking skills
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, permissions
  • At least 5 years' experience in onsite support
  • Team Player and Analytical Thinking
  • Open and positive personality and Stability/Stress tolerance
  • Customer-oriented (Service awareness)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to adapt in a fast-evolving technology environment and ability to learn
  • Able to assume day-to-day responsibilities generating specific deliverables
  • Relationship-builder, at ease with people and capable of quickly building trust
