About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Terneuzen (NL) or Milano (IT). As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial accounting records and books.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process financial accounting independently, including monthly/quarterly/yearly closing
  • Present and report key tax figures in accordance with local GAAP and US GAAP
  • Prepare year-end statutory financial statements, according to local GAAP
  • Contribute to and monitor accuracy of transaction processing
  • Monitor, report, and communicate function/business results
  • Perform BS, PL, and fixed assets reviews
  • Support Internal External audits
  • Provide financial analysis to function/business management teams as needed for project studies, options analysis
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Finance/Economics/Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of previous experience in controlling and/or cost accounting
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Preferred skills: experience with ERP systems (i.e. SAP) and reporting tools, ability to prepare a consolidated financial statement and/or to use Thomson Reuters, strong skills in Microsoft Excel
