Role Overview

As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to oversee categories of non-production related expenditures. This position demands a strategic approach focused on achieving cost efficiencies and enhancing operational effectiveness across various business functions.

Formulate and implement indirect procurement strategies aimed at optimizing cost, quality, and service levels across designated categories. Conduct market analysis to grasp industry trends, pinpoint potential suppliers, and evaluate supplier capabilities. Spearhead the supplier selection process, which includes managing RFPs, RFQs, and supplier negotiations. Cultivate supplier relationships, focusing on performance evaluation, contract management, and issue resolution. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to comprehend business needs, uncover cost-saving opportunities, and enforce procurement best practices. Lead cross-functional project teams to execute sourcing strategies and facilitate supplier transitions. Deliver regular updates on category performance, encompassing savings, supplier performance, and market insights. Continuously enhance procurement processes and systems to boost efficiency and compliance.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or advanced certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are advantageous. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or a comparable role, particularly in indirect spend. In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation. Strong analytical abilities, capable of interpreting complex data and deriving actionable insights. Excellent project management skills, with the capacity to lead cross-functional teams and juggle multiple projects concurrently. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP, IFS, TEAMS, or similar platforms.
