Role Overview

In the capacity of an Indirect Procurement Specialist, you will take charge of managing categories associated with non-production expenditures. This position demands a strategic approach, focusing on enhancing cost efficiency and operational effectiveness across various business units.

Formulate and implement indirect procurement strategies aimed at optimizing cost, quality, and service across designated categories. Conduct market analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, identify potential suppliers, and evaluate supplier capabilities. Oversee the supplier selection process, which includes managing RFPs, RFQs, and negotiations with suppliers. Cultivate supplier relationships, ensuring performance monitoring, contract management, and resolution of issues. Collaborate with internal teams to grasp business needs, pinpoint cost-saving opportunities, and apply procurement best practices. Lead cross-departmental project teams to execute sourcing strategies and facilitate supplier transitions. Provide regular updates on category performance, encompassing savings, supplier effectiveness, and market developments. Continuously refine procurement processes and systems to boost efficiency and compliance.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or advanced certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are advantageous. A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in procurement, sourcing, or a related field, with a concentration on indirect expenditures. In-depth understanding of procurement methodologies, supplier management, and contract negotiation. Strong analytical capabilities, with the proficiency to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and juggle multiple projects concurrently. Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. Familiarity with procurement software and tools, such as SAP, IFS, TEAMS, or similar platforms.
