A rewarding opportunity has emerged at Ziprecruiter, partnering with a leading manufacturer in Marengo, IL, to fill the role of Reliable Equipment Maintenance Specialist. This exciting position requires an individual with strong industrial maintenance skills and a passion for troubleshooting complex issues. With experience in both mechanical and electrical maintenance, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations and contributing to the growth of our client's team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Technicians must perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Identify and resolve equipment breakdowns promptly
  • Implement innovative safety suggestions and ideas to promote a secure work environment
  • Stay up-to-date with training and development in areas that require improvement
  • Familiarize yourself with PLC systems, mechanical, and electrical maintenance principles
  • Analyze prints and schematics to guide troubleshooting efforts effectively

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience is required
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude is essential for this role
  • Strong blueprint and schematic reading skills are necessary to succeed
  • We aim for a candidate with 7/10 or higher print/schematic reading skills
  • Some welding experience is a plus
